Even as a child, Michelle wasn’t afraid of the things that went bump in the night. In fact, the thought of a world where werewolves roamed and Dracula reigned king may seem like an eldritch dream to most, but was exciting to Michelle. Instead of turning on a light for comfort, she reveled in the dark, imagining the lives of what was out there roaming the night and frightening those who didn’t truly appreciate how interesting the supernatural really were.

Nowadays, her visions continuously take shape as she brings life to the worlds she has imagined since childhood. The wild imaginings that often got Michelle out of, or more often into, trouble as a young girl have informed and enriched her storytelling as an adult, bringing a fresh new voice to the paranormal romance genre

Review:

A great story that sucked me right in from the very beginning. I had a very difficult time putting it down! I read very little para-normal books, but this one has me changing my mind-I need to read more. This book had everything...action, romance, a heroine who is strong yet vulnerable to her circumstances & a hero who has been through hell & back but still remains a good guy! I would highly recommend picking up Bitter Black Kiss!

Blurb:

Under Katie Scott's flower child exterior beats the heart of June Cleaver. Though she digs her bellbottoms and love beads, she longs for the idyllic family life she was denied as a child.

Laughed out of San Francisco's Haight Ashbury after the Summer of Love for believing rock 'n roll and white picket fences can coexist, she decides to try her luck in the bohemian neighborhood of Ladbroke Grove in London.

When she discovers her new friend Adam is starting a band with Jay Carey, she's ecstatic. She'd admired the British guitar god from afar for years, and when she and Jay finally meet the attraction between them is instantaneous.

But life with a rock 'n roll star doesn't lend itself well to white picket fences. And when Katie tells Jay the secret she's carried for two years it may end the dream before it begins.

Author:

After an exciting career in radio broadcasting, Juli was left with a passion for rock ‘n roll and memories of the outrageous antics and stories told to her by musicians and bands she’d interviewed over the years. Inspired by these tales, Juli started writing Romances that Rock!™

Juli lives in small town in Arkansas with her husband. When she’s not writing, she’s remodeling their old house, recording voiceovers for TV commercials, and trying to convince her husband the world won’t come to an end if the television is turned off. She listens to a lot of music at maximum volume and has never met a speed limit she didn’t exceed. Juli’s an unapologetic lover of rock ‘n roll, Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, and French onion dip, not necessarily in that order. She’s the author of Romances that Rock™, including Crimson and Clover published by Crimson Romance, and Athena’s Daughter.

Review:

What a fun story!!!! Crimson & Clover is not your usual romance book-It's a long strange trip back in time! I will admit to remembering most of the 70's, I do not remember the 60's (not for the reason you are thinking!-I was born in the late 60's) This book gave me such a vivid look into the world of "flower power" "rock n roll" and the "summer of love" That I felt like I was there! This is Juli Page Morgan's debut book & I will definately be looking for more from her. You need to pick up this book and take that trip to the past yourself!

Addicted To Adella by Anna Keraleigh

 Addicted to Adella

Blurb:

"Welcome to Ulla Major! Home to the thousand-floor high rise, the best synthetic food in the quadrant, and the safest space port for five planets. Please be on the lookout for two fugitives, Adella and Sally. Adella Perski is wanted for the murder of her boyfriend. Sally Nupson is wanted for assisting a fugitive. They are armed and dangerous."

Just the words a girl wanted to hear. Adella is stuck running from the law with her best friend Sally by her side. She isn’t exactly wrongfully accused either, but that as they say, is a long story. They’ve been through it all together, the good and the bad. This should be no different.

Things take a strange twist when a wild space chase turns into a romantic touch between the two friends. Could this be the start of something more than lust? Will they live long enough to find out?

Genre: Lesbian, Science Fiction, Erotica
Be Warned: f/f sex
Review:

Sci-Fi & lesbian not my usual genre to read, but I gave it a try. I really liked the fact that the story-line & the characters were both very well developed for such a short story. As I was reading I had a picture in my head of the planet, ship, & all of it's surroundings - so A+ for the details! The bedroom scenes were hot! As a novice of the f/f genre, this book wasn't "too much" for me to handle. Overall a really good, quite sexy, read!

A Novella of the FBI Psychics

Destin Mortin’s psychic gift comes with an ugly twist—she excels at tracking down violent rapists. But it’s rough on relationships. Once, her partner Caleb was her everything: filter, shield, rescuer, lover. The only man who didn’t think her a freak. Then he walked away.

Destin turned her back on the FBI to work for a private agency, but now a particularly horrendous case has come up, and her boss wants her paired with only the best.

For Caleb Durand, leaving Destin was an act of self-preservation. Every time she flung herself headlong into dangerous situations, every time he nursed her through soul-crushing visions, he’d died a little more inside.

Now they are forced to work together one last time. Tragedy has changed them both, but Caleb knows if he lowers his shields for an instant, he won’t have an icicle’s chance in hell of resisting the temptation to lose himself in her wild power.

But to catch the rapist, it’s exactly what he’ll have to do.

Review:

Andrea At The Center is a book filled with every sexual fantasy, scenario, & situation you could think of, and probably some you couldn't have thought of. I found the book to be very repetitive. More like a very bad porn movie, than a book of erotica. It took me quite awhile to even finish this book. I would put it down, pick it up a week later actually hoping it would get better, it didn't. I honestly almost didn't finish it. This book has many reviews on Goodreads-quite a few of those are really good reviews, I personally can't fathom why that is. I have read many books over the years that were so erotic and so steamy that I am almost embarrassed that I read them, but the difference is they had plot and/or a good story line. I could not find that with this book.

I give this book only 1 key. I would have given it no keys but it is an actual published book so I felt I had to give it that much credit.

I do not give higher than 5 wings (scorcher) if I could I would have.

Excerpt:

“You don’t know me.”

“Which was the point of asking you to coffee. And for the record. That kiss, wasn’t my fault.” She pointed her mittened finger at him.

“Okay, the kiss was a mistake. And fine, we’ll say it was mine. But you have to admit you were flirting. I’m not so old I don’t recognize that.”

She smiled then. “Okay, maybe a little. I admit, it’s been a while since I’ve been on a real date with a guy. This place isn’t exactly crawling with possibilities.”

“Don’t say those kinds of things to me, Aimee.”

“A little too long out on the range there, cowboy?” she asked with a teasing smile.

Dammit. If he wasn’t careful, he’d end up backpedaling to make her like him, and he wasn’t ready yet, or certain all together he’d ever be. “Listen, I won’t lie. I’m attracted to you and yeah, it’s been a while for me, too. And there’s no doubt in my mind we’d be good—very good, together.”

Her eyes widened. “Jesus, Mary, and Joseph,” she whispered.

“But here’s the thing, I’m not looking for anything permanent. I’m happy with my life the way it is. I want no entanglements, no complications. Are you with me here?”

She blinked. “Oh, I hear you, yes. I’m just not sure where you’re going with it.”

He blew out an exasperated sigh. “I guess what I’m saying is if the attraction is the same for you and at some point you feel you’d like to get together—”

“Are you offering me a cowboy booty call?” Her brows rose under her hat.

“I prefer to think of it as consensual. We’re both adults, Aimee. We know what we want, what we need.”

Her blue eyes studied him as though scrutinizing whether his performance was real or not. He prayed he was doing a good enough job convincing her because he wasn’t sure how much more of this pushing-her-away-for-her-own-good business he could take.

“Wow, as romantic as that sounds, cowboy, I’ll have to get back to you on that.”

He tipped his hat. “Take all the time you need.”

Mergers and Aquisitions by Sorcha Mowbray-review

Mergers & Aquisitions
by Sorcha Mowbray

Blurb:

Shannon Pearce is an acquisitions specialist who helps businesses buy other businesses. Her latest project has left her fantasizing about her provocative client with nothing but BOB to ease her ache. After closing the deal successfully she is faced with another proposition of a very personal nature.

Dalton Granger can’t get his very sexy acquisition specialist out of his head. For weeks he has been tormented by the idea of not only having her in his bed, but at his mercy. What dom doesn’t fantasize about a sensual, submissive woman? But, can she let go long enough to relax and give him the control he craves? If she does, will she dance along the edge of passion with him and push her own boundaries?

Review:

This book was one hot quick read! Shannon dominates in the boardroom, but in the bedroom it is Dalton who dominates everything. Of course, with this being a short story things move at a very fast pace, it seems that the two jump right into bed together. But, that is the premise of a good erotic short story. It all works, there is an entire story in this compact read. I enjoyed this very much.

Author info:

Sorcha Mowbray is a mild mannered office worker by day…okay, so she is actually a mouthy, opinionated, take charge kind of gal who bosses everyone around; but she definitely works in an office. At night she writes romance so hot she sets the sheets on fire! Just ask her slightly singed husband.
She is a long time lover of historical romance, having grown up reading Johanna Lindsey and Judith McNaught. Then she discovered Thea Devine and Susan Johnson. Holy cow! Heroes and heroines could do THAT? From there, things devolved into trying her hand at writing a little smexy. Needless to say, she liked it and she hopes you do too!

Excerpt #1 from Frontline:
Mr. Merrick and I face each other. I rock back and forth on my feet nervously.

“Well, I guess this is good-bye.” I stick out my hand for him to shake.

Mr. Merrick slips his hand into mine, but instead of shaking it, he uses his hold as leverage to pull me into him.

“I’m really looking forward to tomorrow evening, Miss Peters,” he says, his lips hovering dangerously close to mine. “After all, I believe I owe you a proper kiss.”

My jaw drops. If what we shared earlier isn’t a real kiss in his book, I can’t imagine what one actually entails.

I feel one hundred pairs of eyes on us from every direction.

“Uh, thank you for, uh, coming, Mr. Merrick,” I say, trying to remain calm, as though he and I are having nothing more than an innocent conversation.

Mr. Merrick drops my hand, but doesn’t move away. As if I’m not turned on enough, he leans in and brushes his lips to my ear. “Welcome to my world, Miss Peters. You’ll soon discover that I live up to my many reputations in every way.”
